Hello, I am Dr Lucy Hale (pronouns she / her). I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist working in the Guildford area with a range of experience in the NHS and private organisations. I have a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in addition to a Masters Degree in Mental Health and Undergraduate Degree in Psychology with German. I also work on the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology training programme at King’s College London.
I can offer help for a wide range of difficulties for adolescents and adults, using treatments which have been researched and show evidence that they are effective. My areas of interest include eating distress and anxiety disorders, particularly obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and appearance-related anxiety. Further details can be found under ‘Services’.
I keep up to date with advances in the field of treatments offered by Clinical Psychologists and conduct my own research to help improve therapy outcomes. I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and am a chartered member of the British Psychological Society (BPS). I am also an accredited practitioner and trainer with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).
I am an approachable professional and I work collaboratively with individuals to tailor support to their specific needs. I recognise that psychological difficulties often impact not only on the people experiencing them, but also on those around them, so I am a firm believer in working with families, carers and partners etc.
